The Forbes brothers started making equipment carts in 1919, helping Hollywood crews transport lights, cameras, and sets. By the 1950s, the range also served industrial, grocery, and janitorial customers.

A new standard for the guest arrival.
As hotel demand grew, Forbes applied its expertise to housekeeping and luggage handling. Its housekeeping line began in 1969, followed by the signature Birdcage® luggage cart in 1983.
